The Learning Disability  Grand Slam Tennis Challenge is here!

We are proud to have partnered with Mencap, the LTA and Special Olympics GB to create this competition.

The Grand Slam Challenge

Running during the month of July, the Grand Slam Challenge is a team tournament where participants will do tennis skills challenges to win points for their team. The challenges can be done at any stage during the month, and are designed to be done anywhere, with any equipment – people can complete them during a session, at home, or down the local park.

To enter a team, please sign up via Mencap’s website: HERE. Once you have signed your team up you will be sent a form to be able to submit your results. You could complete each challenge across four different sessions or base a session around all four – it’s completely up to you! Make sure you also take plenty of snaps as we’d love to see them and you will be able to upload them with your submissions.

All four challenges have been set by our very own tennis mentors (you may recognise the Australian Open mentor) and are available on the webpage or Mencap’s YouTube Channel. You can also see them in the ‘Grand Slam Challenge Cards’ (see images below)

We hope to see as many of you enter as possible! We also have certificates and medals up for grabs so worth having a go!

Good luck and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact sport@mencap.org.uk
