Variety the Children’s Charity of Great Britain11 October at 13:06 · Today, Variety, the Children’s Charity, unveils the talented finalists for the much-anticipated inaugural Variety Club Disability Sports Awards 2023. Set to take place on Monday, 30th October at the Queen’s Hotel, Leeds, this event is a celebration of accomplished athletes and inclusive clubs in the UK’s sporting arena. It’s a true recognition of the outstanding achievements made by those with disabilities and the organizations fostering inclusivity in sports. The awards encompass nine categories, each acknowledging significant contributions to the sports world by disabled athletes and inspiring clubs. A tenth special achievement award will also be presented by the esteemed Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.Let’s celebrate the diversity and inclusivity in the world of sports, recognizing the dedication and resilience of athletes with disabilities, as well as the clubs propelling positive change. Every event like this not only applauds the triumphs of these exceptional individuals but also supports Variety’s vital work in supporting disabled and disadvantaged children.The event will be hosted by the charismatic comedian and disability advocate Adam Hills MBE, alongside Chief Executive Officer of GB Snowsport and Chair of British Surfing, Vicky Gosling OBE.
