A gorgeous sunny morning welcomed Louise (LUSU) and players from the personal recovery centre, Phoenix House on Monday 17th June. They had signed up for the inaugural Help for Heroes Tennis Camp (June 17th - 20th), organised in partnership with the LTA.

The Tennis camp took place at David Lloyd Harrogate and comprised of:

  1. An introduction to tennis
  2. Pathways available for players
  3. An understanding of different adaptive forms of tennis
  4. A variety of competition and scoring formats
  5. Pathways into coaching

The players also had an opportunity of visiting the ATP Challenger event, based at Ilkley Tennis Club.

The tennis camp was a fabulous success and sets the scene for further partnership work.
