Louise has been involved for the past 12months, working as one of the Technical Advisors / coaches in the delivery of Multi Sports Activity, Veteran and Skill Courses for the Battle Back Programme. This programme is the partnership work of Carnegie Great Outdoors (Leeds Beckett University), the Royal British Legion and the Military of Defence.
The Battle Back Centre Lilleshall was established by the Royal British Legion in 2011 to support wounded and injured service personnel returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. The programme is designed to use adaptive sport, such as wheelchair basketball, climbing, cycling, archery, tennis as a vehicle for recovery and wellness.
