Last week LUSU Sports had the pleasure of delivering a fully interactive workshop on the I Coach Kids International conference. Participants included a former olympic swimmer, now a Swim coach and University lecturer from Lithuania, a cycling coach from Ireland and coaches from cricket, climbing, table tennis and special olympics to name a few. Interestingly, many of the audience who were coaches in a variety of sports wanted advice regarding coaching VI participants.
The workshop incorporated ideas on working with children who require additional sensory support, warm ups for visually impaired and wheelchair tennis. It was great to share learning and promote tennis as a fully inclusive sport.
