On Wednesday 18th July, Louise had the honour of meeting Prince Harry during his visit to see the great work being done by the RFU Injured Players Foundation. Louise was representing Carnegie Great Outdoors (Leeds Beckett University) who are a partner organisation, who assist on the IPF’s Engage Programme, which aims to empower injured players via delivering activities such inclusive sport, adventurous activities and personal coaching.
Prince Harry visited Twickenham during an IPF engage event, and met some of the participants and joined in several of the activities on offer including Tennis, Boccia, Archery and table top activities. LUSUKit was used to ensure Tennis and Boccia was full inclusive, and ensured that those participants with tetraplegia also had the opportunity to take part in all activities.
“It was great to be able to chat to HRH Prince Harry (Duke of Sussex) and explain how the LUSU equipment ensure everyone was able to take part in the activity. He spent time speaking to all the players and those supporting the foundations work, and was eager to have a go – a great experience for all.”
